Quick answer
On Windows you can use a dedicated IPTV app for the full Live TV / VOD experience, Kodi for a media-center setup, or VLC for a quick M3U test.
Before you start
- An active Kemo IPTV trial or subscription (your activation email contains your login details).
- A stable internet connection — about 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps or more for 4K, per stream.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11.
Recommended player apps
| Player | Login methods | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| IPTV Smarters Pro | Xtream, M3U | Free from official stores (availability varies by store and region). |
| Kodi (PVR IPTV Simple Client) | M3U | Free and open-source. |
| VLC media player | M3U | Free and open-source. |
Player apps are made by independent developers. Install them only from official app stores or the developer's own website. We don't publish APK files or download codes.
Which login method to use
- Xtream Codes API: You enter a server URL, username and password in the player. The app downloads channels, VOD and the TV guide automatically.
- M3U playlist URL: A single web address that points to the full channel playlist. Most players, including VLC and Kodi, can open it.
Option A — IPTV Smarters (Xtream login)
- Download IPTV Smarters for Windows from the developer's official website.
- Install and open it, then choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Enter your server URL, username and password and select Add User.
Option B — VLC (M3U)
- Install VLC from videolan.org.
- Open Media → Open Network Stream, paste your M3U link and press Play.
- Press Ctrl+L to open the playlist and browse channels.
TV guide (EPG) setup
IPTV Smarters loads the guide automatically. VLC has no guide. In Kodi, add the EPG link in PVR IPTV Simple Client.
Common errors and fixes
